What is Fashion Skills 4 Better?

Fashion Skills 4 Better is a Vocational Education and Training (VET) capacity-building project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme; it bridges the gap between training and industry to drive the sustainable and digital transition of the fashion sector in Europe and Latin America.

The goal of FS4B centers on the sustainable, digital, and entrepreneurial transformation of the fashion sector, with a special focus on vocational education and training (VET) in Latin America.

Areas of action

The Fashion Skills 4 Better areas of action are structured around these seven pillars:

Competencies for the Green and Circular Transition

Development of knowledge and capacities to promote more sustainable, circular and regenerative production and consumption models within the fashion industry.

OBSERVATORY

Anticipating the skills that will transform fashion
What skills will the fashion professional need in 2030?

The answer is not simple. The textile and fashion industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by sustainability, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, the circular economy and new consumption models. The professional profiles demanded by the sector today are no longer the same as they were just five years ago, and will continue to evolve at great speed over the next decade.
