Our Commitment
FashionSKILLS4BETTER was born with the conviction that the transition to a more sustainable, circular and innovative fashion industry will only be possible if it is built on inclusion, diversity, accessibility and collaboration between all actors in the ecosystem.
As a Capacity Building in Vocational Education and Training (CB-VET) project  co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, we work to ensure that access to knowledge, training and participation opportunities is open to as many people as possible, regardless of their background, gender, age, economic status, geographical location or physical abilities.  sensory or cognitive.
Accessibility for all people
FashionSKILLS4BETTER is committed to developing digital resources, tools and content that promote an accessible and inclusive experience for all users.
To do this, we work with the following principles:
Web design that is accessible and compatible with different devices.
Simple and intuitive navigation.
Clear and understandable language.
Progressive compatibility with assistive technologies and screen readers.
Training materials that are accessible and adaptable to different educational contexts.
Removal of barriers that hinder participation in project activities.


Our goal is that anyone interested in sustainable fashion can access the knowledge generated by the project and benefit from its results.
Diversity and equal opportunities
FashionSKILLS4BETTER actively promotes equal opportunities and the participation of diverse groups in all its activities.
The project promotes:
Gender equality in access to training and entrepreneurship.
The participation of young people, women, artisans, entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The inclusion of local communities and territories with less access to training opportunities.
The recognition of cultural diversity as a source of innovation and creativity.
The exchange of knowledge between Europe and Latin America based on mutual respect and cooperation.


We believe that a just transition to sustainability can only be built by incorporating multiple perspectives, experiences and knowledge.
Lifelong learning
The project promotes a culture of lifelong learning that enables professionals, trainers and organisations to adapt to the technological, social and environmental changes that are transforming the fashion industry.
Through training programmes, Living Fashion Labs, digital tools and spaces for knowledge exchange, FashionSKILLS4BETTER seeks to strengthen the capacities of actors in the sector to face present and future challenges.
Responsible communication on sustainability
Communication plays a critical role in building a more transparent and conscious fashion industry.
For this reason, all the communication developed within the framework of FashionSKILLS4BETTER will be carried out following the recommendations and principles set out in the Sustainable Fashion Communication Manual of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP/UNEP), promoting rigorous, verifiable messages aligned with international good practices.
This commitment involves:
Avoid misleading claims or greenwashing practices.
Communicate in a clear, transparent and evidence-based way.
Present progress and challenges in an honest and balanced manner.
Promote a deeper understanding of sustainability in the fashion sector.
To promote a critical and informed citizenry capable of making responsible decisions.


The communication of the project will be aligned with the principles promoted by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UNEP regional office for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Continuous improvement
Accessibility, inclusion and responsible communication are processes of continuous improvement.
FashionSKILLS4BETTER will regularly review its tools, content and methodologies to ensure that the project remains an open, diverse, participatory space aligned with the principles of sustainability, equity and innovation that inspire its mission.
